Mr. Federico Marchesin (Doctoral Researcher)
This person is working in this group since 2021.
Federico Marchesin received a master's degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua in 2021. He conducted his master's thesis on heterogeneously integrated ring lasers on silicon at PRG. In 2022, he worked on ACTPHAST and Medphab projects at PRG, focusing on simulating passive photonic components and designing large photonic circuits.
He is currently a PhD student under Prof. Peter Bienstman, researching photonic neural network accelerators. His work includes simulating photonic circuits for classification, imaging, and telecommunications, designing circuits resilient to fabrication imperfections, and developing techniques for on-circuit training of photonic accelerators.
